Xolo Opus Q1000 smart device sports a 5 inch large FWVGA IPS display with 854×480 pixels screen resolution. The phablet is powered by 1.2 GHz quad core processor and 1GB RAM, which offers fast processing.The NEON technology has been used in this handset that makes it supportable to numerous video codecs and also offering faster and smoother multimedia performance. NEON will boost hat60-150% performance on complicated video codecs.

OS

The device runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.2v OS. There is no information about OS up-gradation but seeing the popularity of phone, the company may launch software update soon for it.

Camera & Storage

Xolo Smartphone is equipped with 5 megapixel primary camera along with auto focus and LED flash, which is capable to record HD videos. It has a VGA front facing camera for video calling. We captured some photos through its primary camera and found the quality average. When we tried video chat on Skype, found the very bad quality because of its VGA front-facing camera. Do not take it wrong, the camera is very quick to respond and quite well. The Smartphone has 4 GB internal storage and expandable up to 32 GB through micro SD card.

Connectivity and Others

We get all connectivity features in this budget Smartphone as 3G HSPA+, WI-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS, Micro USB 2.0, GPS with A-GPS and 3.5 mm audio jack. The Dual SIM device is powered by a 2000mAh powerful battery, which offering talktime up to 11 hours on 3G and 18 hours on 2G. The standby time is up to 700 hours on 2G and 526 hours on 3G. All the above features seem much better in this price range.

If we compare this 5 inch quad core phablet with other Smartphones, then we will get it much cheaper than others costliest phablets. No other phablet is available in the similar range in the market.

Gaming

The phone is really perfect for gaming in this segment. We ran temple run 2 and Subway surfers game on this and found it very smooth. We felt that MediaTek processor is pretty better and smoother in performance than Broadcom. We paused the game meanwhile but It ran very well without any interruption.

Conclusion

The Xolo Q1000 Opus is really very decent handset with the processing power of 4 cores. The Broadcom chipset looks nice in the view and can’t wait more for it. The device is pocket friendly device with all latest features including Quad-core and large screen. Xolo seems to trying to copy Galaxy grand and display resembles such a ugly point. If you have made planned to buy an Android phone below 10,000, then I would suggest for Xolo Opus Q1000 this time.
