Xiaomi has launched its 2nd handset ‘Redmi 1S’ in India for Rs 5999 only. Seeing the huge success of Xiaomi Mi3, the company made right decision at right time to launch it in Indian market. The Redmi 1S, which was priced at Rs 6999 at the time of unveiling in july, now available in the market at RS. 1,000 less and coming with price tag of Rs 5999.
The phone is beating directly Moto E and Lumia 530 and emerging as the best entry level phone.
Design
Xiaomi Redmi 1S does not look stylish as its elder flagship, Mi3 that comes with a metallic unibody. This low range device is housed with a plastic body. On the other side, you get the removable battery option with a micro SD card slot. It comes with color variations like Lumia 530 including Red, Yellow and Cyan. It is slimmer and handy than Moto E.

Xiaomi Redmi 1S is packed with 8GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 64 GB via a micro SD card. The Nokia Lumia 530 and Moto E come with only 4 GB of internal storage but also supports micro SD card.

There is one area where the Redmi 1S is beaten by its rivals. Redmi 1S runs on Android 4.3 jelly Bean with a MIUI skin on top, whereas Moto E comes with Android 4.4 KitKat and Nokia’s all latest handsets run on latest windows phone 8.1 OS including Lumia 530.
