One of the world’s most prominent messengers, WhatsApp, launched a huge update for iPhone users with Apple’s new “flat” design sense. The latest version is synced with Apple’s new iOS 7 Operating System.
Apart from a completely new look, the latest version also includes broadcast lists and allows users to create lists of contacts for bulk messaging. This makes it easier for the user to communicate with friends on a regular basis without facing much problem. Some other improvements have been made including support for iOS 7 ringtones, text size, and a facility to crop pictures before sending. In addition, it even includes an easier system to manage blocked contacts. Users will find now much improved location sharing and large thumbnails view along with supports for 3D maps during chats.
After upgradation into the latest version of WhatsApp, it setup iCloud backup quickly. Users can choose the place on Apple’s cloud storage service, to make backup of their chats. What’s New in Version 2.11.5
- This version includes a new improved iOS 7 User Interface for managing your blocked contacts. This can be done by going to Whatsapp Settings > Chat Settings > Blocked.
- It also includes a broadcast lists that is an exciting new feature. This enables the user to talk to his colleagues or just friends by messaging many people just at once.
- In addition, the new version even includes an improved share location: 3D map view, hide places, search places.
- It also displays large thumbnails view.
- The latest version also includes new notification alerts and sounds. This can be done by going to Whatspp Settings > Notifications > New Message.
- This application will now use your device text size as configured in iOS Settings > General > Text Size.
- In addition, you can also crop the pictures before sending them to your friends.
WhatsApp has made its business model to specific mobile platforms. For example, the users can download it free of cost on Android platform whereas IOS users need to pay $0.99 for a year. Some IOS users expected from makers of WhatsApp to be available free of cost in 2014.
