Nexus 6 design
Nexus 6 is built by Motorola and the borrowed extremely from the 2nd Gen Moto X device. Both of phones look similar in term of look and shape and Motorola has used the large Nexus logo on the back of the Google phone. The power and volume buttons have been shifted further down the side of the phone and of course they are comfortably in reach now.
From the front side, increased 6 inch display gives it attractive and premium look. You wouldn’t see extra covered space on phone. The dimension of the phone is 159.3 x 83 x 10.1 mm and weighs 184g. The phone is slim and sleek so will provide strong grip in hand.
Nexus 6 hardware
The powerful hardware of the phone makes the path of success for any phone so Google has used heavy configuration in Nexus 6. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor clocked at 2.7 GHz. 3 GB of RAM boosts the speed of the phone and makes it perfect for gaming. We have not tested the games yet on the phone but will explain you very soon about it. It has same CPU that Samsung used in its Galaxy Note 4, which is the fastest phone we ever examined, so the latest version of Google can be faster.
The company has produced this Nexus handset in two storage variants; 32 GB and 64 GB, if you need more space, then you have to buy more expensive handsets. There is no micro SD card slot so no option to add extra capacity later.
The device flaunts 6 inch (actually 5.93”) large QHD display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution at 493 pixels per inch density. The display is using AMOLED technology, which produces rich and vibrant colours and as well as consumes less power when displaying darker photos compared to LCD. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Google increased the no. of pixels and improved the quality too. The company has given a 13 megapixel (4128 x 3096 pixels) camera on its rear side and 2 Megapixel camera on front side. The rear camera comes with auto focus, Optical image stabilization and dual LED flash and capable to shoot 2160p videos at 30fps. I can bet that you can’t imagine such quality in any other phone. The camera features are geo tagging, photo sphere, touch focus, face detection, HDR and dual recording.

It supports 2G/3G/4G networks and comes with Nano-SIM. It is equipped with all the connectivity options including GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0v with A2DP, NFC and USB v2.0 (SlimPort), USB Host, USB On-the-go.
Nexus 6 OS-Android 5.0 L
As predicted, the Nexus 6 features Android 5.0 Lollipop, which is the latest update of OS from Google and cannot be seen in any other phone yet. You will see several changes in Android L including performance improvements, fresh user interface, notifications, battery save mode and more.
Here, we can say that Google has taken strict steps to compete Apple. Now the company has added multiple user accounts and guest user mode facility across smartphone and tablets for the first time. This option will be helpful to protect personal data when sharing your device with others. And, there is another option (based on proximity) to unlock your device from a wearable device like Motorola Moto 360.
